Who are we ? We are a group of Christians based just outside Bolton in the United Kingdom. We're a church made up from lots of different ages.
Why are we Christians ? Our goal is to live life with God at the centre of our lives. What we mean by this, is that we try to live out the commandments about love that Jesus gave us.
How does this affect us ? We try to live our faith as best as we can following the commandments Jesus gave us: Love God with all your heart with all your soul and love your neighbour as your self. This means that we choose to live a life which places high value on God and other people. We remember that we are human beings and not God, and as consequence we do not always succeed in living out these commandments. What do we think Church is ? We think Church should be a place where God heals us, a meeting where we tackle and then leave behind the difficulties that life throws up at us. Liberating, not stuffy. A fun place to be. We also think that Church should be liberating not stuffy. We believe Church should be uplifting and provide a meeting place where God's presence can be encountered in the Bible, the Eucharist and through our relationships with one another.
Be part of of a family Besides regular worship, we also go bowling, wine tasting, walking, cinema trips, theatre trips and loads of other things.
Service Booking System UPDATED Arrangements for Church Booking System We know you will understand the need to make small adjustments to the Church Booking system now we have put it into operation. Booking will open on Tuesdays at 10.00am and close at 12.00 noon on Saturdays for the following Sunday. Service attendance is limited in keeping with social distancing rules which means numbers able to attend at any one service are much reduced. Only families or people in a social bubble can sit together in one pew. To book for yourself or a small group as explained above :- by telephone contact Barbara Ainscough on 01942 859041 or 07398814356 by email contact Glenys Latham at email@example.com You will be asked for telephone or email contact information so that in the event of a change of circumstances we can contact you Your booking will be confirmed and no-one with a confirmed booking will be turned away from the church doors. The service will start at 10am each Sunday until further notice. Closing taking bookings at 12.00 noon on Saturdays for Sunday allows time for the booking list to be sent to the Wardens and printed. Opening taking bookings at 10.00am on Tuesday gives the Deputy-wardens ‘a day off’ and we would ask you be considerate about the time if you book by phone. We have to ask everyone to book week by week to give everyone equal opportunity to book because numbers are limited.

200 CLUB As most of you are aware that due to the Coronavirus the 200 club had been temporarily put on hold. We are now up to date with it and in the newsletter you will find the winning no’s from March – May. We will get the cheques out to the winners as soon as is possible. Moving on, the new 200 club year commences from June and again the yearly amount is £12. As well as having winning numbers each month the church does benefit from this too. Over the twelve months we pay out £1220 in prize money and the church receives £1180. This is a considerable donation to the church from the people who have supported the 200 club over the years. We do not know when we will be back in church but we would greatly appreciate it if you would all continue to contribute to the 200 club. In order to make thing easier we have set up the 200 club account on line so if you wish, you can transfer directly into it. We currently have several spare numbers which we would welcome any one to consider taking on. Please support the 200 club, let people know about it so they too can support the church. As we have only just set the account up on line it will take approximately a week for us to access it. If any of you have any queries then please email me: email@example.com. We will continue to keep you informed through the newsletter. Take care Jenifer Palin and Margaret Campbell
